compound inequality x − 3 < −9 or x + 5 greater than or equal to 10

correct description on the number line will be: it compose of two segments

x - 3 < -9

x - 3 + 3 < -9 + 3

x < -6

it is a line segment begins with a circle at -6 and continuing to the "left"

x + 5 greater than or equal to 10

x + 5 - 5 greater than or equal to 10 - 5

x greater than or equal to 5

second segment starts at 5 with a solid dot (for the or equal to part) and continuing to the right.

Round each of the following, using front-end rounding. [1.1] 4. 50,987 5. 851,004
Leokris [45]

Answer:

4) 50,000

5) 900,000

Step-by-step explanation:

In Front end rounding what we do is we focus on first two digit of the number if the second digit number is greater than or equal to 5 we add the first digit by 1.

4) 50,987

here we can clearly see that the first two digit is 50 and second digit is not equal to 5 then rounding will be equal to 50,000.

5) 851,004

here we can clearly see that the first two digit is 85 and second digit is equal to 5 then we will round it 8+1=9

hence rounded number will be 900,000

NEED TO KNOW ASAP
Which of the following is a quadratic inequality?
Oy<2x+7
Oy Oy
Burka [1]

Answer:

 (c) y < x^2 -5x

Step-by-step explanation:

A quadratic inequality is one that involves a quadratic polynomial.

Identification

The degree of a polynomial is the value of the largest exponent of the variable. When the degree of a polynomial is 2, we call it a quadratic.

For the following inequalities, the degree of the polynomial in x is shown:

 • y < 2x +7 . . . degree 1
 • y < x^3 +x^2 . . . degree 3
 • y < x^2 -5x . . . degree 2 (quadratic)

Application

We see that the degree of the polynomial in x is 2 in ...

 y < x^2 -5x

so that is the quadratic inequality you're looking for.

__

Additional comment

When a term involves only one variable, its degree is the exponent of that variable: 5x^3 has degree 3. When a term involves more than one variable, the degree of the term is the sum of the exponents of the variables: 8x^4y3 has degree 4+3=7.

Answer:

Third choice, m<EGB plus m<BGC!

Step-by-step explanation:

You know that m<BGC is 90 degrees. A straight line is 180 degrees. Line AGC is 180 degrees. Therefore, m<of EBG is 90 degrees. Hope this helps!
