S = N + 4
N = H - 8
S = 15

S = N + 4

Plug in 15 for 'S':

15 = N + 4

11 = N

N = H - 8

11 = H - 8

Add 8 to both sides:

19 = H

So Hector receives $19 for allowance.

Suppose that the New England Colonials baseball team is equally likely to win a game as not to win it. If 4 Colonials games are
aleksandrvk [35]

Answer:

The answer is 0.25

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a binomial distribution question, since it is equally likely probability of success (p) is 0.5 and the probability of failure (q) is 0.5.

Using binomial distribution formula

P(x) = n CX PX qn-x where C means combination

X =3 , n= 4

P(x) = 4c3 × (0.5) raise to power 3 ×(0.5) raise to power 1

P(x) = 4× 1/8 × 1/2

P(x)= 0.25
