Answer: The correct answer is-

D: DNA.

DNA replication is a process by which a double stranded DNA molecule produces two molecules of DNA that are identical to each other.

During this process, two strands of DNA are separated and act like a template strand. Using DNA template strand, enzyme DNA polymerase adds dNTPs ( deoxyribonucleoside triphosphate) according to Watson and Crick base pairing ( Adenine pairs with Thymine and Guanine pairs with Cytosine).

Thus, DNA itself is used as template for the process of replication.

vova2212 [387]

Answer:

A nuclear membrane is a double membrane that encloses the cell nucleus. It serves to separate the chromosomes from the rest of the cell. The nuclear membrane includes an array of small holes or pores that permit the passage of certain materials, such as nucleic acids and proteins, between the nucleus and cytoplasm.

if there were no suppression of dna replication between meiotic divisions but cytokinesis proceeded normally, what is the most l
sergiy2304 [10]
The answer is 4 diploid cells.

Meiosis is a cell division which results in the reduction of chromosome number by half - from diploid to haploid - in daughter cells. It consists of meiosis I and meiosis II. Meiosis I produces two haploid cells. Meiosis II is analogous to mitosis, so in total, meiosis results in four haploid cells. This is achieved through suppression of DNA replication between two meiotic divisions.
If there were no suppression of DNA replication, then meiosis I would produce two diploid cells, and after meiosis II there will be four diploid cells.

ohaa [14]

Answer:

The basic repeating unit of nucleic acids are known as nucleotides. A nucleotide consists of three distinct chemical groups, a 5-carbon sugar (ribose or deoxyribose), a nitrogen-rich base - (cytosine (C), guanine (G), adenine (A), thymine (T) in DNA or uracil (U) instead of T (in RNA), and phosphate.
