Answer:

Population density of a place (country, state, city, county,  providence) or area is the equivalent of how many people there are  per square mile of the place. It is computed by dividing the totalpopulation of the place by the area of the place - usually in  square miles in the US. In most of the world, the area would be  measured in square kilometres.

- For example, the United States has a population density of  83.022 people per square mile.
