Answer: neither of the examples are functions

Step-by-step explanation:

To be a function, every x-value must be associated to only one y-value. In the first table x= 5 maps to TWO y values.

In the second table, x=7 maps to TWO y values

Neither of them are functions. Functions cannot have two of the same numbers in the x value, and since the first table has two 5s in the x column and the second table has two 7s, neither of them can be functions.

Hope this helps :)

Find the selling price. Original price of the telescope: $99.99 Discount: 13%
iragen [17]
There is no discount stated but I'm assuming this problem is the same problem I encountered before.

Original price of the telescope is $99.99
Discount: 13%

$99.99 * 13% = 12.9987 or 13
$99.99 - 13 = $86.99 or $87

New selling price is $86.99 rounded up to the nearest unit $87.00
