The angular velocity of the electron as it orbits the nucleus due to the coulomb force is \boxed{5.63\times10^{16}\text{ rad/sec}}.

Explanation:

The electron and the nucleus both have a particular amount of charge with opposite sign. Since the charges are opposite in nature, there will be an electrostatic force of attraction acting between the charged particles.

The electron does not get attracted towards the nucleus. It keep on orbiting the nucleus i a circular path. The circular motion of the electron exerts a centripetal force that acts on the electron and keep it from being attracted towards the nucleus.

Write the expression for the balanced forces acting on the electron during its motion around the nucleus.

\boxed{F_c=F_e}                                 ...... (1)

The centripetal force acting on the electron is given as:

F_c=\dfrac{mv^2}{r}

Here, m is the mass of electron, v is the velocity of electron during motion and r is the radius of the path in which electron rotates.

The electrostatic force acting on the electron due to the nucleus is:

F_e=\dfrac{1}{4\pi\epsilon_0}\dfrac{q_1q_2}{r^2}

Here, q_1\&q_2 are the charge of electron and nucleus and r is the distance between the two charges.

The angular velocity of a body can be represented as:

v=r\omega

Here, \omega is the angular velocity.

Substitute the values of the centripetal force, electrostatic force and angular velocity in equation (1).

\dfrac{m\omega^2r^2}{r}=\dfrac{1}{4\pi\epsilon_0}\dfrac{q_1q_2}{r^2}

Substitute the values in above expression.

\omega^2=\dfrac{(9\times10^9)\times19(1.6\times10^{-19})\times(1.6\times10^{-19})}{(9.1\times10^{-31})\times(1.15\times10^{-10})^3}\\\omega^2=\dfrac{4.377\times10^{-27}}{1.38\times10^{-60}}\\\omega^2=3.17\times10^{33}\\\omega=5.63\times10^{16}\text{ rad/sec}

Therefore, the angular velocity of the electron as it orbits the nucleus due to the coulomb force is \boxed{5.63\times10^{16}\text{ rad/sec}}.

Answer : \omega = 13.41 \times10^{16}\ rad/sec

Explanation :

Given that,

Charge   q = 19\times1.6\times 10^{-19} c

Radius r = 1.15\times 10^{-10}\ m

We know that,

Centripetal force = Coulomb force

\dfrac{mv^{2}}{r} = \dfrac{1}{4\pi\epsilon_{0}}\times \dfrac{q_{1}q_{2}}{r^{2}} ......(I)

Now, angular velocity

\omega = \dfrac{v}{r}

v = \omega\ r

Now, put the value of linear velocity in equation (I)

\dfrac{m\omega^{2}r^{2}}{r} = \dfrac{1}{4\pi\epsilon_{0}}\times \dfrac{q_{1}q_{2}}{r^{2}}

\omega^{2} = \dfrac{9\times10^{9}\times19\times1.6\times10^{-19}\times1.6\times10^{-19}}{1.6\times10^{-31}\times(1.15\times10^{-10})^{3}}

\omega ^{2} = 179.89\times 10^{32}\  rad/sec

\omega = 13.41\times 10^{16}\ rad/sec

Hence, this is the required solution.

Nhat is a difference between a law and a hypothesis?
V125BC [204]

Answer:A hypothesis is a limited explanation of a phenomenon; a scientific theory is an in-depth explanation of the observed phenomenon. A law is a statement about an observed phenomenon or a unifying concept, according to Kennesaw State University. ... However, Newton's law doesn't explain what gravity is, or how it works

The radius of curvature is smaller at the top than on the sides so that the downward centripetal acceleration at the top will be
kap26 [50]

Answer:

v = 14.86 m/s

Explanation:

As we know that the force equation at the top is given as

\frac{mv^2}{R} = ma

now we know that

a_c = 1.5 g

so we have

\frac{v^2}{R} = 1.5 g

v = \sqrt{1.5 Rg}

so we will have

v = \sqrt{1.5(15)(9.81)}

v = 14.86 m/s

An Astronaut on the Moon drops a rock straight downward from a height of 1.25 meters. If the acceleration of gravity on the Moon
beks73 [17]

Answer:

Since the astronaut drops the rock, the initial velocity of the rock is 0 m/s

<u>We are given:</u>

initial velocity (u) = 0 m/s

final velocity (v) = v m/s

acceleration (a) = 1.62 m/s/s

height (h) = 1.25 m

<u>Solving for v:</u>

From the third equation of motion:

v²-u² = 2ah

replacing the variables

v² - (0)² =2 (1.62)(1.25)

v² = 1.62 * 2.5

v² = 4 (approx)

v = √4

v = 2 m/s

The speed of the rock just before it lands is 2 m/s

The air in a 22C room contains water at a partial pressure of 14 mm Hg. What is the relative humidity?
Naily [24]

Answer:

70.35%

Explanation:

The relative humidity is a percentage and is the ratio between the partial pressure of water and the vapor pressure of water times 100% The partial pressure gives you an idea of the amount of water in the air whereas the vapor pressure is related with the maximum amount of water that can be in the air for a given temperature.

Vp(h2o) -> Vapor pressure of water

p(h2o) -> Partial pressure of water

RH -> Relative humidity

Vp(h20) at 22°C = e^(20.386 - (5132 / (temperature + 273)) = 19.9 Torr

(1 Torr == 1 mm Hg)

RH = p(h2o)/Vp(h2o)*100% = (14/19.9)*100% = 70.35%

Note: The formula used to find the vapor pressure of water is an approximation, to get a better value you could use a table to determine the vapor pressure of water at a certain temperature. Remember that Vp(h2o) is a constant for a given temperature.
