You can check the copyright date or sometimes there will be a section where it tells you the date it was written and last updated (for articles, blogs, etc.)

When vetting the research you find online, it is important to use the most recent sources possible.  The best sources to use are those that have been published or updated within the last 5 years.  An article will typically have the publication or update date underneath the title or author’s name, and this will be toward the top of the page.  If you cannot locate that date, then your next best bet is to scroll to the bottom of the website to look for the copyright date.  However, note that the copyright date may not always be a good indicator of when the article was written as it may just be the last time the website was updated.  Thus, for the currency of a website only, check the bottom of the web page.

What makes an analogy effective?
Makovka662 [10]

Answer:

I'm not sure if this is a multiple choice question but the answer is " It compares two unlike things that have more than one thing in common"

Explanation:

In an analogy, the writer takes two different things and makes a connection with it. In order to make a connection, we should first find the similarity between the 2 different things. I'm not if this is okay but on this website it said that  "In an analogy, you yoke together two unlike things (eye and camera, the task of navigating a spacecraft and the task of sinking a putt), and all you care about is their major similarities. The most effective analogies are usually brief and to the point—developed in just a few sentences."

East Antarctica is covered by massive layers of ice. The ice is thousands of meters thick.
vagabundo [1.1K]

Answer:

The answer to your question would be that the revision that combines the sentence using a subordinating clause and subordinating conjunction is the following one: East Antarctica is covered by massive layers of ice which is thousands of meters thick.

Explanation:

The revised version of the sentence includes an essential relative clause. Essential relative clauses limit an ambiguous noun, that is, they complete the meaning of the sentence. The essential clause helps identify the noun it modifies. Consequently, if they are dropped, the meaning of the sentence is altered (see 1).

1) East Antarctica is covered by massive layers of ice
