Why does the First Amendment matter today? It protects people’s right to say whatever they want even if it threatens public safe

ty. It protects people’s right to own and use weapons for the defense of self and family. Without it, people could not share ideas freely on the Internet without risking arrest. Without it, people could not seek protection from police or the military for anything.

Answer:

Without it, people could not share ideas freely on the Internet without risking arrest.

Explanation:

The first amendment says that: <em>"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."</em>

It is the amendment of Free Speech. It doesn't protect the citizen directly, but prevents the congress to diminish your freedom. In the age of the internet, congress cannot create laws that forbid you to say what you want, even online.

Which statement is true about the minimum age of a house member
Eva8 [605]

The Constitution establishes the qualifications for members of the House of Representatives and Senate.

<span>A Representative must be 25 years of agea citizen of the United States for at least seven yearsand a legal resident of the state which elects him.</span><span>A U.S Senator must be at least 30 years olda citizen of the US for the past nine yearsand a resident of the state which elects him.</span>

The term of a Senator is six years, and they are divided into three Classes so that one third of the Senators face reelection every two years. Members of the House of Representatives are elected every two years. There is no limit on the number of terms a Senator or Representative may serve.

Once elected, a Senator or Representative continues to serve until the expiration of his term, death, or resignation. The Constitution also permits the House to expell any member with a two-thirds vote.

How do you think people would change how they see themselves and others if mirrors and other ways of seeing themselves were rare
m_a_m_a [10]
I think that society would have less ridiculous beauty standards. And I think people would become more humble towards each other; if we see ourselves less, we think less about our looks. We look to the less superficial aspects of life. Hope this helps, I'd write more, but I wouldn't want to rant ;)
