No because you don't know how far away the houses are from school. If amy's house was on mars but jeremy's house is on the same block, jeremy is obviously going to get there first

You can't because even though Amy is moving faster
We don't know if Amy's house or Jeremy's house is closer to the school.

Roman55 [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

u/4 + 9.9 = 16.9

Putting value of u = 24 in the equation

24/4 + 9.9 = 16.9

6 + 9.9 = 16.9

15.9 = 16.9

Bringing like terms on one

16.9 - 15.9 = 1

Given 2 congruent chords in the circle, then they are equidistant from the centre and perpendicular

There is a right triangle formed by legs 15 and 8, with radius r being the hypotenuse.

Using Pythagoras' identity in this right angle

r² = 15² + 8² = 225 + 64 = 289 ( take the square root of both sides )

r = \sqrt{289} = 17
