Answer:

The Chernobyl disaster was nuclear accident which took place at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the north of the Soviet Union on 25 April 1986. The accident occurred during a test on one of the nuclear reactors which ended provoking an explosion due to a flawed plant design as well as inadequately trained workers who made numerous errors and ignored safety warnings. During the explosion, a great quantity of noxious substances was released into the atmosphere. The result was the death of 31 people at the nuclear plant, the evacuation of more than 100,000 people from the nearby cities, and other long term effects like bad health conditions to the many people who were in the area which caused many more deaths, and a loss of a city as that area is still contaminated today. The accident also affected other countries in Europe and even North America as lots of people still received huge quantities of radiation there.

To help the region recover from the disaster, the IAEA provided support to Ukraine, Belarus and Russia in environmental remediation, decommissioning and management of radioactive waste and strengthening the safety levels at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant — in several instances in cooperation with other United Nations organizations. The IAEA also helped with evaluation and assessment of the accident site and its consequences.

Answer:

Still Separate, Still Unequal depicts the fact that racism and segregation still plague America even after the Emancipation Proclamation and countless court rulings and amendments. Colored people tend to gravitate (or be forced into by society and the economy) towards each other (take Detroit as an example) and are therefore segregated, in an effort against racism. However, integrated schools bring children up in an environment where kids of every nationality are equals, and will eliminate racism as they grow into adulthood.

Tema [17]

Answer:

Pretend that three people who weigh the same take turns on a seesaw. No matter which two people are on the seesaw at opposite ends, they are balanced. Our government is the same way. The three that take turns riding the seesaw are:

Congress - Legislative Branch

President - Executive Branch

Supreme Court - Judicial Branch

How do these branches balance and check each other? Each branch has different powers from another branch. But each weighs the same.

President:

Makes treaties with other nations

Carries out laws

Vetoes bills Congress passes if he thinks they are wrong

Appoints judges in the Judicial Branch for a life term

Writes the budget

Congress:

Makes laws

Can override a President's veto of a bill by 2/3 vote

Can impeach a President for misconduct

Must approve presidential appointments for judges and justices

Gives the O.K. on budget spending and treaties

Can remove judges from office for misconduct

Supreme Court:

Interprets laws

May decide that some laws that Congress makes or decisions that the President make are not right according to the Constitution.

The ________ function will change a character argument from lowercase to uppercase
RideAnS [48]

The "toupper" function will change a character argument from lowercase to uppercase.

<h3>What is argument?</h3>

You can provide a function more information by using an argument. The data can then be used by the function as a variable as it executes. To put it another way, when you construct a function, you have the option of passing data as an argument, also known as a parameter.

Some characteristics of argument are-

  • Variables only used in that particular function are called arguments.
  • When we call the function, you must specify that value of an argument.
  • Function arguments provide your applications access to more data.

Argument can be used in the following form:

  1. Add a string argument support to the method prototype and implementation: howMuchFun=string(string amount
  2. Modify your return type to read "fun" plus the return amount;
  3. Insert the string howMuchFun between the parenthesis when you execute the function ("tons of")
  4. Their capabilities can be greatly increased by adding arguments! Adding comma between each argument will allow you to add more (string amount, string noun).
