"If we wish to be free-if we mean to preserve", "if we mean not basely to abandon" AND "which we have been so long contending", "which we have been so long engaged", "which we have pledged".

Parallelism is the repetition of the same grammatical structure. There are two instances of parallel structure in this excerpt. The first is the "If we ___ to ___" structure. The second is the "which we have _______" structure. By filling the passage with this parallel structure is gives the sense of a list of reasons that all, compounding on top of one another, logically lead to the need to fight. The change from the parallel structures in the last line "we must fight!" makes this exclamation stand out and hold power.

pantera1 [17]

Answer:

C. I wield a pen, this fine and fearless sword, To open doors for which there are no keys

Explanation:

The inference that supports that the writer uses journalism as a voice for the voiceless and forgotten is option C.

This is because of the statement made that his pen which he uses to write news and articles are his sword and they open doors which have no keys.

Why does the magician give Ah Fo three wishes?
NNADVOKAT [17]

We can actually infer here that the magician gives Ah Fo three wishes because: The magician is grateful that Ah Fo rescued him from the evil magician.

What is inference?

Inference is actually known to be a conclusion that one makes after taking time to look at the available evidence and facts. Inference is used to draw conclusion after observation and experimentation.

We see that in the "The Three Brass Pennies", the magician gives Ah Fo three wishes because of his help. Ah Fo helped to rescue the magician from the evil magician.
