Answer:

Option C. The following statement is an example of the author's bias in favor of building the strip mall:

"Washington, who gave the most convincing speech of the night, eloquently stated that the new development would bolster business."

Explanation:

The term bias can be defined as a prejudice in favor or against something or someone, usually in a way that is considered to be unfair or subjective. When the author writes that Jerome Washington, who is in favor of building the strip mall, gave the most convincing speech, the author is showing a bias in favor of what Washington proclaimed, therefore a bias in favor of building the strip mall. This is because the fact that the author believes that Washington's speech was the most convincing is a completely subjective opinion, and can bot be used as a fact.

What tenets of realism are evident in Zitkala-Sa's “The School Days of an Indian Girl”?

Answer: I believe that the tenets of realism that are evident in Zitkala-Sa's “The School Days of an Indian Girl” are the struggles that Native Americans had to go through to "fit in" with the culture of the Europeans. At some point she revolts against at first, but begins to assimilate. Even after she assimilates herself she begins to find herself not belonging anywhere.

How does Zitkala-Sa's realistic representation of her experiences affect readers?

Answer: I believe that the way that Zitkala-Sa's realistic representation of her experiences affect the readers is in a way that they could empathize with the struggles that she had to go through because of the fact that her people's territory was completely overrun.

I hope it helps, Regards.
