I went ahead and rewrote x+6y=61 to x=-6y+61 to get x by itself.

I then plugged that into to the first equation to get:

4(-6y+61)-5y=-17

I factored to get:

-24y+244-5y=-17

I combined like terms

-29y=-261

I then divided both sides by -29 to get y by itself and I got y=9 which is A.

Select the choice which shows all of the diagonals in this polygon and tells how many there are.
Leona [35]

Answer:

Answer C

Step-by-step explanation:

If the polygon has n sides, then the number of diagonals the polygon has is

(n - 3)*n/2

So for a seven sided figure the number of diagonals would be

(7 - 3)(7)/2 = 4*7/2 = 28/2 = 14
