I went ahead and rewrote x+6y=61 to x=-6y+61 to get x by itself.

I then plugged that into to the first equation to get:

4(-6y+61)-5y=-17

I factored to get:

-24y+244-5y=-17

I combined like terms

-29y=-261

I then divided both sides by -29 to get y by itself and I got y=9 which is A.

A bag contains 3 red. 3 white and 3 green balls. One ball is taken out of the bag
Xelga [282]

Answer:

The probability that the ball is red is 33.33%, it is not red 66.66%, and red or white is 66.66%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a bag contains 3 red, 3 white and 3 green balls, to determine, if one ball is taken out of the bag at random, what is the probability that the ball drawn is (1) red, (2) not red, or (3) either red or white, the following calculations must be performed:

1)

3/9 = 0.333 x 100 = 33.33%

2)

6/9 = 0.666 x 100 = 66.66%

3)

6/9 = 0.666 x 100 = 66.66%

Therefore, the probability that the ball is red is 33.33%, it is not red 66.66%, and red or white is 66.66%.

Gwar [14]

Answer:

<h2>{5}</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

A=\{2,\ 5,\ 8,\ 11,\ 14\}\\\\B=\{1,\ 3,\ 5,\ 7\}\\\\A\ \cap\ B-\text{the intersection of two sets A and B,}\\\text{ is the set that contains all elements of A that also belong to B.}\\\\\text{Therefore:}\ A\ \cap\ B=\{5\}

The point A(-2, 3) is translated using T: (x,y) = (x + 4, y + 2).
Charra [1.4K]

Answer: Choice D) 2\sqrt{5}

===========================================================

Work Shown:

Point A starts at (-2,3) and moves to (2,5) after applying the translation rule of "shift 4 to the right, 2 up".

Use the distance formula to find the distance from (-2,3) to (2,5)

d = \sqrt{(x_1 - x_2)^2 + (y_1 - y_2)^2}\\\\d = \sqrt{(-2-2)^2 + (3-5)^2}\\\\d = \sqrt{(-4)^2 + (-2)^2}\\\\d = \sqrt{16 + 4}\\\\d = \sqrt{20}\\\\d = \sqrt{4*5}\\\\d = \sqrt{4}*\sqrt{5}\\\\d = 2\sqrt{5}\\\\d \approx 4.472136\\\\

Aleks04 [339]

Answer:

Width is 24, length is 40

Step-by-step explanation:

64 can be split into 8 groups of 8, and the 8 groups can be split into 3 and 5. Then, take 3 x 8 for the width and 5 x 8 for the length, and you have the answer! I wish to you best of luck!
