The answer is: D. Religious groups worked for reform and social services.

During the industrialization, many poeple from all over the world come to the Urban area seeking new job opportunities. Not many of them get the jobs.

Because of this, the urban area was filled with high number of unemployed individuals who can't even obtain enough food to sustain themselves. At this time, religious groups help them by providing social services to help them survive.

Which branch of government has the power to determine whether actions by the other branches are permissible under the Constituti
BaLLatris [955]

Answer: The judicial branch's checks on the President and Congress lie in its power of judicial review. As advocated by Alexander Hamilton in the Federalist Papers, the Supreme Court's status as the final arbiter of the Constitution implies its ability to nullify the laws or actions of the other branches. The judicial branch can check the executive branch by declaring presidential acts unconstitutional and can check the legislative branch by declaring laws unconstitutional. Chart with examples of powers that each branch has to check the other two branches.
