Energy added to the system the system,Q = 1400 Joules

Work done by the system can be calculated by using First law of thermodynamics:'

\Delta U=Q-W (First law of thermodynamics)

600 J=1400 J-W

W=Q-\Delta U=1400 J-600 J=800 J

The work done by the system is 800 Joules.
