Given, two points are (10, 8) and (9, 13)  

We have to find the slope of a line that passes through the above given two points.

Slope of a line that pass through $\left(\mathrm{x}_{1}, \mathrm{y}_{1}\right) \text { and }\left(\mathrm{x}_{2}, \mathrm{y}_{2}\right)$ is given as:

$\mathrm{m}=\frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}$

$\text { Here, in our problem, } x_{1}=10, y_{1}=8 \text { and } x_{2}=9, y_{2}=13$

$\text { slope } m=\frac{13-8}{9-10}=\frac{5}{-1}$

$=\frac{-5}{1}=-5$

Hence, the slope the line that passes through the given points is – 5
