Qualitative data is a type of data that cannot be expressed or measured as a number. Qualitative data describes the attributes of a thing or phenomenon based on observations or interviews. Qualitative data can be arranged into groups based on gender, physical traits, religious preference and socio economic status. Examples of qualitative data are; the hair colors of students in a classroom and the shape of biscuits in a variety pack.
