Ill review each sentence and find their mistakes.

A. The 5 ft plank was too short and needed to be recut.
In this sentence, "ft" needs a period at the end so therefore this sentence isn't correctly punctuated. (a is not the answer)

B. Mr. Langan requested a wake-up call for 9:00 a. M. on Saturday.
In this sentence, the a.m is punctuated incorrectly so this isn't correct either. (b is not the answer)

C. Why was there such noise at 6:00 AM?
Here, it is punctuated correctly. Looks like it is the correct answer.

D. Dr. Vaughn gave Mrs Vaughn a pearl necklace for their tenth anniversary.
In this sentence, "Mrs." didn't have a period at the end (d is not the answer).

So the answer was found and it is C because it is punctuated correctly. :)

Your answer is correct. Indeed:

- In order to find the degrees per minute, you have to divide the full rotation angle (which is 360deg) by the number of minutes (which is 60):
360deg ÷ 60min = 6 deg/min

- In order to find how many minutes have passed, you subtract the times:
1h50m - 1h25m = 0h25m

- You then find how many degrees correspond to 25minutes:
6 deg/min × 25 min = 150deg

- Lastly, you transform degrees into radiants, through the proportion:
deg : 180 = rad : π
Therefore,
150 : 180 = rad : π
rad = (150×π)/180 = 5π/6

Darcy harvests 8 3/4 acres of corn every 5/6 of an hour.Darcy harvests corn at a constant rate. How many acres does she harvests
andrey2020 [161]

Answer:

10.50 acres per hour or 1.75 per 10 minutes(1/6 of an hour)

Step-by-step explanation:

5/6 of an hour is 50 minutes

1/6 of an hour is 10 minutes

8 3/4 is equal to 8.75

8.75/5 is equal to 1.75 which means she harvests 1.75 acres per hour

1.75 x 6(hour) is equal to 10.50 acres total in one hour

Word problem: If 1 yard equals 3 inches, how many inches are in 18 yards?
Mariulka [41]

Answer:

54 inches

Explanation:

From the question, we have that:

1 yard = 3 inches

We are to find the equivalent value of 18 yards in inches. This can be expressed as:

18 yards = x

where x is the unknown value.

Get the value of x by dividing both equations:

\frac{1}{18}=\frac{3}{x}

Cross multiply

\begin{gathered} 1\times x=3\times18 \\ \\ x=54 \end{gathered}

This shows that there are 54 inches in 18 yards
