Here is a thesis statement about Facebook:

Facebook is an enjoyed app by many, but it can also be dangerous.

Here's an incomplete paragraph you can use to start you off on your paper. You don't have to use it, but it's yours if you want to. Remeber, it's not complete so if you are going to use it, it should be in your best interest to add a sentence or two:

Facebook is an online social media and social networking service that was launched on February 4, 2004. The app has grown increasingly popular and it is now one of the most used apps today. Although many enjoy interacting with others through Facebook, there are some aspects of this app that make it quite dangerous.

Here are some mentionable reasons as to why Facebook could be dangerous, that you can add in your other paragraphs:

-  Cyber Bullying
-  Bad For Mental Health
-  Information May Be Shared In Third Parties
-  Ads May Contain Malware
-  Fake Profiles
-  Online Predators

Facebook is awful considering it does not protect your privacy, time-wasting, and it can lead to a sense of false consensus.

Which of the following lines from “in another country” by Ernest Hemingway contribute to the prevailing mood of apathy in the st
Luden [163]
If your options are: A) One day I had said that Italian seemed such an easy language to me that I could not take a great interest in it; everything was so easy to say. "Ah, yes," the major said. B) The girls at the Cova were very patriotic, and I found that the most patriotic people in Italy were the café girls—and I believe they are still patriotic. C) We were all a little detached, and there was nothing that held us together except that we met every afternoon at the hospital. D) It was warm, standing in front of her charcoal fire, and the chestnuts were warm afterward in your pocket. E) <span>The major, who had been a great fencer, did not believe in bravery, and spent much time while we sat in the machines correcting my grammar.

The correct answer is A, in my opinion. It doesn't talk about apathy (the loss of interest and psychological indifference to everything). It shows apathy in a dialogue between two people, thus proving that apathy has infused every single aspect of the soldiers' lives in Milan. The major's short answer "Ah, yes" also shows it. The two people talk about their lack of interest for Italian, and they are not even interested in this talk that they have.</span>

explain why the author felt "safe" in Manitou. how might her perceptions of this place reflect her native american beliefs
Sloan [31]

Answer:

Linda Hogan claimed she felt safe in Manitou for she believes "the underground movement of water and heat [were] a constant reminder of other life, of what lives beneath us, [and that] seemed to be the center of the world".

This place, to her, felt like the perfect amalgamation of the spatial barrier that the native Americans believe as the world of their ancestors. And in her exclamation of this place as the center of the world, she also shows that she holds a belief in the very belief of the native Americans.

Explanation:

Linda Hogan in her book "Dwellings: A Spiritual History of the Living World" talks about the houses we live in, and how they depend on humans to be deemed living spaces. She talks about her lifelong fascination and love for the world, the earth, where we live, delving into the relationship between the spaces that humans dwell in and the rest of nature.

Hogan stated that <em>"she felt safe in Manitou"</em> due to the fact that it reminded her of the<em> "other life, of what lives beneath us"</em>. She mentioned that <em>"with the underground movement of water and heat [...] it seemed to be the center of the world". </em>

This shows that her deep-rooted belief in the native American belief system is reflected in her own sense of comparison between the two spaces, that of humans and nature. She discusses how both spaces are necessary for the healthy psyche of a person and how interconnected the two are.

The sentence that can support the claim is that C. Bookmobiles also provide access to other types of outreach, like health and career services.

<h3>What is a claim?</h3>

It should be noted that a claim simply means the main idea in a literary work. It's the stance of an author regarding an issue.

In this case, the claim is that library funding should not be cut because it provides important services to the community.

Therefore, the support will be that bookmobiles also provide access to other types of outreach, like health and career services, to people who might not otherwise know of these services.
