So you have 1 of each a penny a nickel a dime and a quarter so the number combos is shown below
1   penny and nickel
2   penny and dime
3  penny and quarter
4  nickel and dime
5  nickel and quarter
6  dime and quarter

The reason why number 4 doesn't say nickel and penny is because is if I had said that it would of been the same as number 1 just that the penny and nickel has switched places so the number of different 2 coin sums are 6

also a penny + a nickel + a dime + a quarter is = to 41 cents

xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer:

  D.  a^2 - 6a - 16

Step-by-step explanation:

The product is found using the distributive property.

  (a -8)(a +2) = a(a +2) -8(a +2)

  = a^2 +2a -8a -16

  = a^2 -6a -16 . . . . . matches choice D

How do i solve this? can i have an explanation too if possible?
djverab [1.8K]

Answer:

x = 120

Step-by-step explanation:

First you want to get the equation into the form cosx = a

2 cos\frac{x}{2}=1

Divide both sides by two to get it into the form.

cos\frac{x}{2}= \frac{1}{2}

Now, on your calculator, use the inverse of cos, to solve for \frac{x}{2}.

\frac{x}{2} = cos^{-1}( \frac{1}{2})

\frac{x}{2} = 60

Now you want to find x, so multiply both sides by 2.

x = 60 * 2 = 120

x can have many solutions; however, I have only given you one.
