Third Person Omniscient—the narrator is not part of the story and knows what every character is thinking and feeling.

If you ever need examples of any point of view stuff you can always go to a website called Wattpad and it's where people write stories from third person, first person, and etc. It really is amazing.

Hope this helps :)

I believe the answer is C. Third person narrative comes from a person outside of the story line, they are simply telling us the story. They do not know the thoughts of the characters, or their feelings. They relay to us the actions and words of the characters.

bagirrra123 [75]

The antagonist in the story is:

 • Captain Beatty
 • He opposed Montag by making him believe that reading was not important. Beatty discouraged Montag in his quest to begin reading because he narrated a distorted history that explained why book burning was necessary.

Who is an antagonist?

An antagonist is a villain in a story. In the book Fahrenheit 451, we learn of Montag who was convinced of the importance of reading by a young 13-year-old girl.

When he was confused about the idea of reading, Captain Beatty came to corrupt his mind by telling him that reading was not vital. The irony here is that Captain Beatty read books.
