You can form either 1,000 or 750 3 digit passwords using the numbers 0 through 9. If you use numbers that can be repeated at least once, you can get up to 1,000 unique passwords. If you only use numbers that do not repeat at all, you get up to 750 unique passwords.

John’s house is 12 miles away from school. He is two-thirds of the way home. How many miles has he walked? A. 8 B. 16 C. 18 D. 2
Oksi-84 [34.3K]
This question is funny because the total he has to walk from school back home is 12 MILES. The question tries to confuse you by using the term “two-thirds”. Here is my point: He only had to walk a total of twelve miles. Why would the answer be 16, 18, and 24 miles when he only has to walk 12??? This is just common sense and I wouldn’t overthink the question. I hope I helped! Glad I caught this. Have a great night.

Tom's age is 5 more than twice Dic's age.
kvasek [131]
If we break the answer down, we can solve this pretty easily.
We can represent Dic's age with x.
Tom's age is 5 MORE (+5) than TWICE (2x) Dic's age (x)
Therefore, our answer is 5+2x (Five more than twice Dic's age)

The correct answer is C: 5+2x
