Think and discuss: Based on what you have observed and learned, why do we see Moon phases

History

First of all moon phases exist because the sun is on the other side of the earth when its night time, and the moon shines because it's reflecting the sun. And at different times the moon is in a different place in relation to the sun so we can only see part of it.
Also sometimes we can see the full moon slightly illuminated along with the current phase, and that's called earthshine. This is caused because the earth gives off light as well as the sun, so the light that the earth is giving of is reflecting off the moon. Earthshine isn't as bright as when the sun is reflecting off the moon because the sun is a lot brighter.

Answer:

The Mazama ash is an example of a marker bed.

Explanation:

Marker beds are distinct strata that are found in other sites in the same region. They can give evidence to age of sediments in a new site if they’ve been assigned a date in other sites. The Mazama ash is consisted of fragments that were ejected into the air by a volcanic eruption of the Mount Mazama, from Oregon Cascades. It blew up 6900 years ago and the ashes were carried by the wind. When the ash settled, it created a marker bed.

What caused tension between America and the Soviet Union after World War II
Zepler [3.9K]
The main difference between both nations was their political views. America was and is a capitalist country and as we know has many freedoms. The Soviet Union on the other hand was a Communist country that gave no rights to its citizens. The United States wasn't happy with that. Also, after WWll, the U.S. provided aid to war torn European countries with the Marshall Plan but the Soviet Union hated this because they wanted to take over those countries.
