What are the effects and reasons of those effects of the United States fought Great Britain in the War of 1812?
aalyn [17]

Answer:

The immediate reasons of the War of 1812 were a series of economic sanctions taken by the British and French against the US as part of the Napoleonic Wars and American outrage at the British practice of impressment, especially after the Chesapeake incident of 1807.

What were the results of the second crusade
Dafna1 [17]
The results were that the European crusade was defeated in Anatolia. It’s supposedly said that the Byzantine Emperor Manuel I Komnenos had ordered Turks to attack the Europeans. Louis and Conrad with all the remaining members made it to Jerusalem and attacked Damascus, which ended in defeat. It was a big win for the Muslims though. This was the start of the fall of Jerusalem and then led to the Third Crusade at the end of the 12th century

After a series of losses early in the war, Union troops tumed the tide by winning
ad-work [718]

Answer:

Antietam.

Explanation:

  • After winning the Second Battle of Bull Run over the Northern Army, Confederate General Robert E. Lee decided to invade the North and transfer the war from Confederate territory to Union territory.
  • He penetrated with 55,000 troops across the Potomac River into the territory of the northern state of Maryland.
  • To counter it, US President Lincoln sent the Army of the Potomac under the command of George B. McClellan.
  • The battle took place on September 17, 1862 near the creek of Antietam. It was one of the bloodiest battles in all of American history. Although he had a double army of about 87,000 troops, Northern General McClellan sent less than three-quarters of his troops to war.
  • In total, about 23,000 soldiers were killed or disappeared.
  • McClellan failed to destroy the Southern Army, but Lee had to end the invasion of the North and retreat to Virginia.
