Answer: The optimum temperature and pressure.

Explanation:

The two characteristics that allows the water to remain in the liquid state is the temperature.

The temperature on the earth is very optimum for the water to remain in liquid state. Though some part of the earth has water in the form of ice and glaciers but it can be converted into water.

The pressure on the earth is optimum for the water to remain in liquid state. This is the reason for the water to remains in liquid state.

What is the increase in temperatures due to more greenhouse gases?
xeze [42]

Answer: Since the industrial revolution, human activities have also resulted in an increase in natural greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide. An increase in these gases in the atmosphere enhances the atmosphere's ability to trap heat, which leads to an increase in the average surface temperature of the Earth.

In squirrels, the gene for gray fur (G) is dominant over the gene for black fur (g). If 50% of a large litter of squirrels are g
serious [3.7K]

Gg and gg will most likely be the parental cross.

This is because G is dominant over g, meaning that the cross of G dominating g will happen one in two of every offspring, in other words, meaning that 50% of the offspring will have grey fur.

if 10 calories of energy are added to 2 grams of ice at negative 30 C calculate the final temperature of the ice
elena55 [62]
Hello.

M*Cp*(T’-Tf)=MCp(T'-T)

M*= Mass of Water. ; M= Mass of ice.

Cp*= Specific heat of water

Cp= Specific heat of ice

T= Temp. Of Ice

T'= Temp. of water

Tf= Equilibrium Temp.

Bones kept in hydrochloric acid becomes soft why?
DanielleElmas [232]

Bones are made up of Calcium Phosphate given by the chemical formula, Ca_{3}(PO_4)_2. When bones are kept in Hydrochloric acid, given by the chemical formula, HCl, they become soft because the calcium compound present in the bones changes its form. The following double displacement reaction takes place when the bones are kept in HCl,

Ca_{3}(PO_{4})_{2} + HCl ---> CaCl_{2} + H_{3}PO_{4}

Calcium chloride is water soluble, and gets washed away. This makes the bone thin and soft.
