We need 80 liters of 45% alcohol
We have 30% alcohol and 60% alcohol.
This is relatively easy.  We need equal amounts of each.
There fore we mix 40 liters of 30% alcohol and 40 liters of 60% alcohol.

A plumber chargers $25 for a service call plus $50 per hour of service. Write an equation in slope-intercept form for the cost,
daser333 [38]

25$ is the flat fee.  50$ is the amount charged per hour.  Therefore the equation is C=25+50h where c is the total cost and h is the amount of hours.

C=25+50h

To find the amount of money for 8 hours simply plug in 8 for h and you get 400.  Don't forget to add the flat fee of 25.  The total cost for 8 hours of service is 425.

To find the amount of money for 10 hours of work, plug in 10 for h and you get 500.  Add 25 to 500 and you get 525 for a total of 10 hours of work.

Hope this helped...

Upper AA 66-ft-tall fence runs parallel to a wall of a house at a distance of 3030 ft. Find the length of the shortest ladder t
Mkey [24]

Answer:

0.33 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

From the diagram, triangle ACE is similar to triangle BCD.

Therefore,

\frac{b}{30+b} = \frac{6}{a}

a=\frac{6(30+b)}{b}

Let the Length of the Ladder, L

Using Pythagoras theorem

L^{2}=(30+b)^{2}+(\frac{6(30+b)}{b})^{2}

L^{2}=\frac{(30+b)^{2}(36+b^{2})}{b^{2}}

L=\sqrt{\frac{(30+b)^{2}(36+b^{2})}{b^{2}} }

L=\frac{30+b}{b}\sqrt{b^2+36}

To find the least value, we have to equate the derivative of L to 0.

L^{1}=\frac{b^{3}-1080}{b^{2}\sqrt{b^2+36}}

Therefore:

b³-1080=0

b³=1080

b=10.26

The minimum length of the ladder is:

L=\frac{30+10.26}{10.26}\sqrt{10.26^2+36}

=0.33 ft
