Answer:

A few things to keep in mind when giving a speech.

1) What is the age of the audience. If they are a younger crowed try not to use large and somewhat overly excessive words.

2) What is the occasion. Graduation, pep talk, wedding, ect. Learn your audience.

3) Leave a mark. How do you want to be looked at by these people. Are you a boss of a company or just a fellow friend; you want to make sure your words fit the context.

To deliver a good speech with the attention of the audience one should have the presence of mind and lots of patience and a good choice of words.

Explanation:

To give out a speech in front of an audience today is a huge task. Especially in a period where people tend to get distracted easily. And the best one could do is be patient and also have knowledge about how to handle the crowd.

First one needs to get the attention of the crowd with a joke and casual talk and slowly get into the topic and use appropriate situation examples and make the audience understand the central goal of the speech. When one achieves it, one can tailor the speech to the audience.

How does O. Henry's perspective shape his attitude toward the subject of "The Gift of the Magi”?
Oduvanchick [21]

Answer:

Within this context we get the biggest irony of all: They cannot find the way to please each other during the season, and their love for each other makes the other sacrifice things they like for the sake of making the other happy. In the end, they gave each other the same thing they sacrificed.
