The answer is d. Ingestion, digestion, absorption, elimination.

There are 4 phases of the digestive system function:
1. Ingestion - the process of the food entering the mouth.
2. Digestion - the process of breaking the food into small particles.
3. Absorption - the process of the absorbing small food particles into the blood from the intestines.

leonid [27]

Answer:

The introns of protein-encoding nuclear genes of higher eukaryotes almost invariably begin (5') with GT and end (3') with AG. In addition, the 3'subterminal A in the “TACTAAC box” is completely conserved; this A is involved in bond formation during intron excision.

Where does the RNA cap go? The tail?
Rufina [12.5K]

Answer:

The post-transcriptional modifications in the mRNA produced as a result of the transcription in eukaryotes provide many advantages to the mRNA.

The two post-transcriptional modifications are the addition of  7-methylguanosine cap at 5' end of mRNA called capping whereas the addition of the poly(Adenyl) tail at 3' end called tailing.

The advantages of capping are:

1. Protection of nascent mRNA from the degradation.

2. Recognition by transcription factors helps in translation.

The advantages of tailing are:

1. Protection of the mRNA from enzymatic degradation in the cytosol.

2. Transcription termination

3. Export of the mRNA from the nucleus
