To get y alone on one side of the equation, you just move it to the other side and write a negative sign if it was positive before you moved it, or vice versa

For example: 3x+y = 7

Move 3x to the other side as a negative number

y=7-3x

Or

3x-y+7 = 0

To get y as a positive number, you would move it to the other side

3x+7 = y

Answer:

All you have to do is subtract or add the numbers that are not the variable, y, on both sides to get the variable, y, on one side of the equation. Then, if there is a number in front of it, you must divide that number on both sides.

Step-by-step explanation:

All you have to do is subtract or add the numbers that are not the variable, y, on both sides to get the variable, y, on one side of the equation. Then, if there is a number in front of it, you must divide that number on both sides.

4 and a fourth. This is because 2 * 32 is 64, then you need to divide 32 by 4 to get 8 left. I am sorry if I solved this incorrectly. Make sure to check with your coordinator ( teacher ) or parent to help solve this. 32 is divided into 4ths.

Answer:

When two functions combine in a way that the output of one function becomes the input of the other, the function is a composite function.

Step-by-step explanation:

In mathematics, the composition of a function is a step-wise application. For example, the function f: A→ B & g: B→ C can be composed to form a function that maps x in A to g(f(x)) in C. All sets are non-empty sets. A composite function is denoted by (g o f) (x) = g (f(x)). The notation g o f is read as “g of f”

If you would like to write each rate as a unit rate, you can do this using the following steps:

$2 ... 5 cans of a soup
$1 ... x cans of a soup = ?

2 * x = 5 * 1
2 * x = 5
x = 5 / 2
x = 2.5 cans of a soup per $1

$2 ... 5 cans of a soup
$x = ? ... 1 can of a soup

2 * 1 = 5 * x
2 = 5 * x
x = 2 / 5
x = $0.4 per 1 can of a soup
