Find the y-intercept(s),k if any for the equation y=x^2-16

If you follow the y=mx+b form m is always your slope and b is always your y-intercept so since this equation is in that form then you can see that 16 is your y-intercept! Since it is at the end of the equation, because if its in that proper form then your last number is always your "b" (in other words, the last number is always the y-interept in every equation like that)

Hope I helped you:)

What is the axis of symmetry of the function f(x)= -(x+9)(x-21)
Vinil7 [7]

Answer:

The axis of symmetry is x = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

To find this, first find the two x-intercept values and then take the average. This will always be the line of symmetry.

x + 9 = 0

x = -9

x - 21 = 0

x = 21

Now take the average of these two numbers.

(-9 + 21)/2

12/2

6

Find the mean of the data in the dot plot below
Firdavs [7]
The mean would be 5
Reason for this is that the mean is when all data is summed up then divided by how many data points there are
So 4+4+7=15
Then divide by 3 would equal 5
I hope this helps!

Find the image of the points after a reflection in the line x=-2
meriva

Answer:

The Y value part of the point's coordinates will always stay the same, and then calculate the distance from the point's x value to the line -2 and then count the same amount in the opposite direction. For example, if the point was (-3,1), then the point is 1 left from the line, so you will go point one right from the line and get the answer (-1,1)
