What is the likely long-term consequence of an increase in the relative percent of greenhouse gases in Earth’s atmosphere?

The continuous rate of the increase in greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere will increase the planet's average temperature. Greenhouse gases are produced mostly from carbon dioxide emissions that industrialization has brought forth to humanity. If an increase in the Earth's temperature will continue, major changes in the environment will occur. The agriculture industry will be suffering from this the most. Too much radiation will take a toll on crops and as a result supply for food might be eventually scarce.

The best way to prevent this from happening is to maximize the use of sustainable energy  (e.g. solar power, wind power, hybrid cars) that provide the same benefits as the regular everyday technologies we use. They produce fewer emissions that would give the Earth a chance to recover from this major situation.

Correct answer: A). Earth’s average temperature will increase.

Green house gases are those gases, which are present in the air that have the ability to trap heat of the earth's surface. Gases like carbon dioxide and methane are  known to be found naturally play an important role in earth's climate. If they are not found the earth' s climate would be too cold creating problem for survival of life on the earth.

They absorb and emit the radiation in the thermal infrared range. These gases act like a blanket and save earth surface from infrared radiation by absorbing them and prevent them from escaping out of the earth surface.

But due to increased in the concentration of green house gases like carbon dioxide and methane in the environment due to pollution and deforestation is causing a great problem, which result in a global warming, which is a great concern for all the people on the planet. It will increase the annual global temperature which will result in the melting of glaciers. So, the issue of global warming should be taken seriously and adequate measure should be taken to control it.

How do you train your dog to stay? Include details and be specific
Juliette [100K]

Answer:

Simply put your hand out and block them and put them back in the corner in a sit position. make sure that you let your dog know that not moving is what gets them. The reward gradually increase the distance and time as we did in the corner until they can stay for 10 seconds at 10 feet away.

Also, with a leash, when teaching your dog to stay, say "stay" and pull the leash back to when the dog is sitting. This gives the dog an understanding of what to do and how to do it. Repeat this a few times. Then the dog will learn to sit and stay before the leash stops. Then they will have learned the "Stay" command.

Hope this Helps!

Punnett square question? 80 PTS FOR BEST ANSWER!
kkurt [141]

Answer:

Explanation:

For number 4, it tells you that purple body color is dominant to blue.

When an allele is dominant over another allele (alleles are different forms of genes, represented using letters) that means only one dominant allele needs to be present to express the dominant phenotype (phenotype is the physical appearance determined by genotype). Since purple is dominant, we use a capital "P" to represent it. Since blue is not dominant, it is called recessive, so we use a lower-case "p" to represent it.

The first genotype they give you, it is "PP", and since at least one big P is there, the phenotype is purple.

The second genotype they give you is "Pp", and since there is at least one capital P, the phenotype is also purple. It does not matter that the second allele is a lower-case, because as long as there is a capital P present, it will masks the presence of the lower-case (recessive) allele.

The third genotype is "pp", both are lower-case, so there is not dominant allele to mask the recessive ones. So, the phenotype is blue. The recessive phenotype will only be phenotypically present if the genotype is homozygous recessive.

Homozygous - having both of the same alleles (PP or pp)

In which PP is known as homozygous dominant, because it is made from the dominant allele. And pp is known as homozygous recessive, because it is made from the recessive allele.

Heterozygous - having one dominant and one recessive allele (Pp)

Note: It does that really matter what letter you use, the importance is whether it is a capital or not because that tells you if it is dominant or recessive.

The same for square shape. It says that square is dominant over round, so a capital letter is used to represent square (S), and a lower-case to represent round (s).

Therefore, the phenotype would be:

Square, Square, round, respectively.

Number 5 is asking you to go from the phenotype (physical look) to the genotype.

Tall head is (T) and dominant to short (t).

Tall = could be PP or Pp (homozygous dominant or heterozygous). It could be both since in both genotypes at least one dominant allele is present, so it will result in a dominant phenotype.

Short = tt. It is "tt" because it is recessive, and the only way to physically show the recessive phenotype is to have a homozygous recessive genotype.

Green is dominant over blue, so again.

Green body - the genotypes could be GG or Gg. At long as there is one capital (dominant) allele.

Yellow body - gg (it is recessive, so it cannot have a capital "G", or that would masks the recessive g).

Hope this helps.
