Answer:

The correct option is A) x=\frac{y+9+7z}{7}

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided equation.

y=7x-7z-9

We need to solve the provided equation for x.

Add 9 both side.

y+9=7x-7z

Now add 7z to both side.

y+9+7z=7x-7z+7z

y+9+7z=7x

Divide both sides by 7.

\frac{7x}{7}=\frac{y+9+7z}{7}

x=\frac{y+9+7z}{7}

Hence, the correct option is A) x=\frac{y+9+7z}{7}

USPshnik [31]

Answer:

No, we don't have sufficient evidence to support the claim that the doors are either too long or too short.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that a lumber company is making doors that are 2058.0 millimeters tall. If the doors are too long they must be trimmed, and if the doors are too short they cannot be used.

A sample of 11 is made, and it is found that they have a mean of 2043.0 millimeters with a standard deviation of 25.0.

Let \mu = <u><em>population mean length of doors</em></u>.

So, Null Hypothesis, H_0 : \mu = 2058.0 millimeters      {means that the mean length of doors is 2058.0 millimeters}

Alternate Hypothesis, H_A : \mu\neq 2058.0 millimeters     {means that the doors are either too long or too short}

The test statistics that will be used here is <u>One-sample t-test statistics</u> because we know about the population standard deviation;

                               T.S.  =  \frac{\bar X-\mu}{\frac{s}{\sqrt{n} } }  ~ t_n_-_1

where, \bar X = sample mean = 2043.0 millimeters

             s = sample standard deviation = 25.0 millimeters

             n = sample of doors = 11

So, <u>the test statistics</u> =  \frac{2043.0-2058.0}{\frac{25.0}{\sqrt{11} } }

                                     =  -1.989

The value of t-test statistics is -1.989.

Now, at a 5% level of significance, the t table gives a critical value between -2.228 and 2.228 at 10 degrees of freedom for the two-tailed test.

Since the value of our test statistics lies within the range of critical values of t, so <u><em>we have insufficient evidence to reject our null hypothesis</em></u> as it will not fall in the rejection region.

Therefore, we conclude that the mean length of doors is 2058.0 millimeters.

Need help with 13 and 14
Svetach [21]

Answer:

13. A

14. C.

Step-by-step explanation:

A relation is a function if there is only one y assigned to each x.

That is if you have a set of points, there should be no repeated x value.

So looking at {(0,0),(-2,4),(-2,-4),(-3,7)} this is not a function because you have two x's that are the same. A.

The slope-intercept form of a linear equation is y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

The y-intercept is where the graph goes through the y-axis at.  It goes through at -1 so b=-1.

The slope is rise/run.  So starting from the y-intercept (0,-1) we need to find another point to count the rise & run to... How about (3,1)? That works.  You can do the counting if you want. You could also use the slope formula.

To use the slope formula, I just like to line the points up vertically and subtract vertically then put 2nd difference over the 1st difference.

(0,-1)

-(3,1)

--------

-3  -2

So the slope is -2/-3 or just 2/3.

So the equation is y=2/3 x-1

HELP PLEASE You're taking a scenic road trip down CA-Highway 1 from San Jose, California, to Los Angeles. You plan to split the
Savatey [412]

Answer:

((I do not have the answers for one, two, or four))

3.)

•What do you know?

-It’s about 425 miles from San Jose to Los Angeles and 320 miles from San Jose to Santa Barbara.

•What do you want to find out?

-How many miles it is from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles.

•What kind of answer do you expect?

-If using variable, I expect that I will get the number of miles from one city to the other.

5.)

425 = 320 + X

6.)

425 = 320 + X

Subtract 320 from both sides.

7.)

X = 105

From Santa Barbra to Los Angeles it is 105 miles.

8.)

320 + 105 = 425

zaharov [31]
It's 3.3 because the 2 is in the tenths place and you look at 6 and say is it over 5? Yes it is so the next number after 2 is 3 so your answer is 3.3
