Given:
perfect score- 100
number of questions of the test- 25
worth of each question- 4 points
Fred's score- 84
n- number of questions Fred had answered incorrectly.

solution:
solve for n
division sentence: (100 ÷ 4 ) -  ( 84 ÷ 4 ) = n

(100 ÷ 4 ) -  ( 84 ÷ 4 ) = n
25 - 21 = n
4= n

therefore, Fred had answered 4 test questions incorrectly.

For this case, the first thing we must do is define a variable.

We have then:

x: number of incorrect answers.

We now write the equation that models the number of incorrect questions.

We have then:

4x = 100 - 84

x = \frac{100}{4} - \frac{84}{4}

x =4

Answer:

a division sentence using negative numbers where the quotient represents the number of questions Fred answered incorrectly is:

x = \frac{100}{4} - \frac{84}{4}

the number of questions Fred answered incorrectly is:

x=4

TIME REMAINING
Sergeu [11.5K]

Answer:

the first one.

Step-by-step explanation:

DJ and decorations are one time flat costs. they are constant. so, together, they are $300.

that is what decreases the profit.

on the other side, $5 per student = 5n in total increases our profit.

so, in total the sum of both (the decreasing amount has a negative sign, if course) :

5n - 300 = 1,500

is the right equation to calculate how many students are needed to make that much profit.

the solution, but the way :

5n - 300 = 1500

5n = 1800

n = 1800/5 = 360 students

The formula for estimating the number, N, of a certain product sold is N = 8800ln(7t + 9), where t is the number of years after
arsen [322]
To determine or predict the expected number of sales after 2 years, we substitute 2 to the t of the givne equation.
                           N = (8800)xln(7(2) + 9)
                                N = 27,592.34
Thus, it is expected that the number of sales after 2 years is 27,592 units.
