A) Let x = the number of nonstudents in the car
Since each nonstudent ticket is $12 and the car cost $5 for parking, the expression is:

12x + 5

b) x = 3, so:

12(3) + 5 = 36 + 5 = 41

The family spent $41 to attend the game. (Ripoff)

A rectangular computer monitor is measured by the length and width of its display resolution. Three different monitors are descr
Anna [14]

Answer: Monitors A and B

Step-by-step explanation:

The similar monitors based on display resolution are those with similar ratios.

Take the ratios to their simplest forms to see which are similar.

Monitor A

= 640 : 480

= 16 : 12

= 4 : 3

Monitor B

= 800 : 600

= 8 : 6

= 4 : 3

Monitor C

= 1,280 : 800

= 32 : 20

= 8 : 5

<em>Monitors A and B are similar as they have the same display ratio. </em>

Write an equation of a circle that has the center at the origin and goes through (-3,-6)
dexar [7]

Answer:

x^{2} +y^{2} = 45

Step-by-step explanation:

General Equation of circle is

(x-x_1)^{2} +(y-y_1)^{2} = r^{2}----------- (1)

Here

(x_1, y_1)= (0, 0)

Radius r is distance from origin (x1, y1) to point (x2, y2)=(-3, -6)

r=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^{2} + (y_2-y_1)^{2} }

r= \sqrt{(-3-0)^{2} + (-6-0)^{2} }

r= \sqrt{9+36}

r=\sqrt{45}

Substituting values in equation (1)

(x-0)^{2} +(y-0)^{2} =( \sqrt{45})^{2}

x^{2} +y^{2} = 45

Using the linear combination method what is the solution to the system of linear equations 7x - 2y = -20 and 9x + 4y = -6
Ghella [55]

x should equal -2 and y should equal -3 to solve this i multiplied the first equation by 2 then got rid of the 4y and -4y then i added the 14x to the 9 equaling 23x and added the -40 to the -6 which became 23x=-46 i solved this getting -s for x, then i plugged that into the equations to get y which was -3
