A) Zoe used seconds to measure time for each ad, but she used minustes for the total.  She should have used 0.5x+y=12.

30 seconds is 1/2 of a minute.  60 seconds is 1 minute.  Since 12 is measured in minutes, you must convert seconds to minutes in order to have an accurate equation.

Hope this helps!!

The beggining balance on the monthly Bank statement por peytons checking account das 346.19, and the ending balance das 198.34.
aleksandrvk [35]
Peyton started the month with $346.19, spent $147.95 during the month, and ended up with $198.34.  If Peyton made no deposits during the month, then $147.95 represents the sum of his expenditures during the month.

Each deli sandwich made uses 1/4 pound of roast beef. Marisa started with 5 pounds of roast beef and now has 3/4 pounds left.
Iteru [2.4K]
Let us assume the number of sandwiches made by Deli = x
Amount of roast beef required for making 1 sandwich = (1/4) pound
Total amount of beef that Marisa started with = 5 pounds
Amount of beef that was left = (3/4) pounds
Then
[(1/4) * x] + (3/4) = 5
(x/4) + (3/4) = 5
(x + 3)/4 = 5
x + 3 = 5 * 4
x + 3 = 20
x = 20 - 3
   = 17
So we can see from the above deduction that 17 Deli sandwiches was made by Marisa. I hope the procedure is clear enough for you to understand.
