Fighting in the Pacific was mainly fought by United States and Japan.

There were two theaters of World War II. One theater of World War II was in Europe, the other was in the Pacific. The Pacific theater of war involved Japan, China, Korea, the Philippines, and many more islands and countries in Southeast Asia.

Following the Battle of Midway the United States began to fight back against the Japanese. They fought to take control of strategic islands in the Pacific. One of the first major battles occurred over the island of Guadalcanal.

zepelin [54]

Answer:

Four prewar conflicts are:

Control of Balkan States

North Africa colonies

Alsace- Lorraine

The freeing of Italians from Austrian rule

Explanation:

The Balkans campaign, or Balkan theatre preworld war 1 conflict was fought between the central power of Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, Germany and the Ottoman Empire on one side and the Allies, which included Serbia, Montenegro, France, the United Kingdom, Russia and Italy, and later Greece, on the other side.

A prewar conflict 1914, was Germany having four colonies: Togo, Kamerun (Cameroon), German Southwest Africa and German East Africa, where the armies of Britain and France fought with imperial German forces, ending the German colonial rule in Africa.

The attack to Austria-Hungary from Italy, along the Isonzo River and in the Trentino, was another prewar conflict.

How was WWI weaponry different from previous wars? What impact do you think it had on casualty rates?
WARRIOR [948]

Answer:

The power of defensive weapons made winning the war on the western front all but impossible for either side. When attacks were ordered, Allied soldiers went “over the top,” climbing out of their trenches and crossing no-man's-land to reach enemy trenches.
