A college degree opens the door to the skilled labor market. Qualified work can be considered the one in which the person needs to apply technical knowledge and intellectual activity. In this way, a higher education diploma is associated with the achievement of the best jobs, better salaries, access to scientific knowledge and the possibility of becoming a specialist in an area.

Example of work that requires a higher degree: lawyer, doctor, engineer, economist.

Example of work that does not require a higher degree: waitress, janitor, bricklayer.

Finally, it should be noted that access to higher education is a matter of opportunity and aptitude. Every form of work is worthy of respect and admiration.

. Which of the following statements best describes literacy rates in North Africa? A. Literacy rates are decreasing in the regio
ycow [4]

The answer is  B. Literacy rates are increasing in the region, and the gap between men and women is decreasing. Annual regional-level literacy estimates based on national data and the Unesco  Institute  for Statistics projections from 1990 to 2016  tell us that Eastern and South-Eastern Asia, Southern Asia, and Northern Africa and Western Asia have made the greatest progress in improving adult literacy over the past 26 years .

According to the Fact Sheet No. 45 dated  September 2017 of the Unesco  Institute  for Statistics, Northern Africa and Western Asia literacy rate went from 64% to 81. The youth literacy rate increased in Northern Africa and Western Asia from 80% to 90% and sub-Saharan Africa  from 65% to 75%. Female literacy rates-lower than male literacy rates at the start of the period - generally grew faster than male literacy rates between 1990 and 2016.Thus, the gap between men and women has decreased  in all regions over the past 26 years.

How would you classically condition an adventuresome 3-year-old to be more fearful of crossing a busy street near her house?
Anettt [7]

According to the book, classical conditioning is a sort of learning in which a person learns to link two or more inputs and predict occurrences. To teach a youngster not to run into the street, it must be exposed to stimuli that are associated with not doing so.

Classical conditioning is a behavioral process in which biologically potent stimuli are paired with previously neutral stimuli. It also refers to the learning process resulting from this pairing, in which neutral stimuli usually elicit responses similar to those elicited by strong stimuli.

Classical conditioning differs from operant conditioning. In operant conditioning, the strength of voluntary behavior is modified through reinforcement or punishment. However, classical conditioning can influence operant conditioning in different ways. In particular, classically conditioned stimuli help reinforce operant responses.

Classical conditioning was first studied in detail by Ivan Pavlov. Pavlov conducted experiments on dogs and published the results in 1897. During a gastrointestinal study of Russian physiologists, Pavlov observed that the dogs he used as test subjects drooled when offered meat.
