The given expressions can be simplified as (by grouping similar terms)

−12x^4 + 7x^3 + 6x^4 − 2x^3 =(−12x^4+ 6x^4) + (7x^3 − 2x^3)= 5x^3-6x^4

−5x^3 + 7x^4 + 4x^4 − 8x^3=(−5x^3 − 8x^3)+ (7x^4 + 4x^4 )=11x^4-13x^3

−2x^4 − 10x^3 + 4x^4 − 2x^3=(−2x^4 + 4x^4 )−( 10x^3 + 2x^3)=2x^4-12x^3

15x^3 − 15x^4 + 13x^4 - x^3=(15x^3- x^3)+ (13x^4 − 15x^4 )=14x^3-2x^4

7x^4 − 15x^3 + 12x^3 -2x^4=(7x^4 -2x^4) +( 12x^3- 15x^3)=5x^4-3x^3

What is the negative root of 2x^2 + x − 6 = 0
max2010maxim [7]
Hello!

Here we can use the quad formula to solve for the x values or roots.
x=(-2+or - \sqrt{2^2-4*2*-6})/2*2 = -2 and 3/2
The negative root for this equation is x=-2

We find the roots of an equation by solving for x by different ways, most common ones being the quadratic formula of x= [-b +/-sqrt(b^2-4ac)]/2a or factoring and setting equal to zero and solving for x value(s) that way. Also the roots are where the graph of the equation crosses the x-axis.

Hope this helps. Any questions please just ask. Thank you kindly

PLEASEE HEEELP! In the normal distribution, 68% of the data lies within 1 standard deviation A: __/6 of the mean, 95% of the dat
Lena [83]

Answer:

a) 2.5% b) 50%

Step-by-step explanation:

1300 is two standard deviations higher than the mean. Since 95% of the data is covered within two standard deviations to the left and right of the mean, 5% is not covered. So, we have 2.5% leftover on the left side of the curve, under 900, and 2.5% leftover on the right side of the graph that is above 1300.

The mean is 1100, so anything above or below the mean is exactly 50% in a normal distribution.
