Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

the figure is divided into 2 semi circles and a square

so the area of the figure will be area of the 2 semi circles + area of the square

area of the 1st semicircle = 1/2 \pir^2

= 1/2 × 3.14 × 5^2

( radius = 5 since diameter is 10 and radius = d/2 )

= 1/2 × 3.14 × 25

= 12.5 × 3.14

= 39.25

area of the 1st semi circle = area of the 2nd semi circle = 39.25 m^3

area of the square = s × s

s = 10m

∴ area = 10 × 10 = 100 m^2

∴ area of the figure = 39.25 + 39.25 + 100

= 178.5 m^2

hope this helps

plz mark it as brainliest!!!!!!!!

When rounding, look at the number one place to the right of the place you are rounding to. If that number is <5, then you keep the place you are rounding to the same and fill in with 0's to the right. If the number is ≥5, then increase the place by one and fill in with 0's to the right.
109865
To the nearest 100: 109865 --> 6 is ≥5, so rounded it is: 109900
To the nearest 1000: 109865 --> 8 is ≥5, so rounded it is: 110000*
* The 9 had to be rounded to a 10, so a one carries over one place to the left.
To the nearest 10: 109865 --> 5 is ≥5, so rounded it is: 109870
To the nearest 10000: 109865 --> 9 is ≥5, so rounded it is: 110000

Hope this helps! :)

Bryan drives up to a traffic circle from Elm Street. He drives 15 meters around the circle is a perfect circle with a radius of
Tom [10]

Answer:

85.9°

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the formula for calculating the length of an arc to get the angle of Maple Street to Elm Street;

Length of an arc = θ/360 * 2Πr where r is the radius of the circle.

Given r = 10m and length of the arc = 15m

On substituting;

15 = θ/360 * 2π(10)

15 = θ/360 * 20π

θ/360 = 15/20π

θ/360 = 0.2387

θ = 360* 0.2387

θ = 85.9°

Hence Maple street is at 85.9° to Elm street.

Lexi say that -68 feet is a greater depth than- 75 feet, since-68>-75. Is Lexi correct? Explain
lara [203]

Answer:

No

Step-by-step explanation:

When working with negative numbers in terms of depth, greater depth are depicted by values as we move farther to the left of the number line.

With this in mind, - 75 feets is farther to the left of the number line and as such represents a greater depth value Than - 68 feets

Therefore, when expressing depth or elevation distances, the values should be iewwd in absolute terms. Then |75| > |68|. While bearing in mind that depth is downward and thus negative
