here that the o'higgins glacier is being affected by global warming? there is no evidence that the changes of o'higgins are being affected by global warming. it has retreated nine miles in the past 100 years because of melting. it has retreated nine miles in the past 100 years because of a dramatic decrease in snowfall at the source of the glacier. it has grown nine miles in the past 100 years because warmer temperatures have caused melting along the edge of the glacier, allowing it to move more quickly. it has grown nine miles in the past 100 years because of increased snow pack at extremely high elevations?

The correct answer is - there is no evidence that the changes of O'Higgins are being affected by global warming. It has retreated 9 miles in the past 100 years because of melting.
O'Higgins, as well as the other glaciers in Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, are still a mystery to scientists as to why are they retreating. They suspect that maybe the global warming is the main cause, but there is no enough data available because of the remoteness and harshness of the region, so for now, it's all just speculation until there's enough data available to make a scientifically proven statement.

Tectonic plates definition
Setler79 [48]
Tectonic plates are parts (pieces) of the outermost layer of Earth: the Crust. (the outermost part of the mantle is also often included in the plates). This means that the land in the middle of the plates is relatively stable while the borders of the plates can be in movement - after all this is where two pieces meet. Plate borders are where the vocanoes and Earthquakes often take place.

Explain TWO specific examples of how the development of cities and the construction of monuments resulted in the rise of mathema
Zinaida [17]

Mathematics and architecture are related, since, as with other arts, architects use mathematics for several reasons. Apart from the mathematics needed when engineering buildings, architects use geometry: to define the spatial form of a building; from the Pythagoreans of the sixth century BC onwards, to create forms considered harmonious, and thus to lay out buildings and their surroundings according to mathematical, aesthetic and sometimes religious principles; to decorate buildings with mathematical objects such as tessellations; and to meet environmental goals, such as to minimise wind speeds around the bases of tall buildings.

Explain the reason that led China to create a cap-and-trade plan
son4ous [18]
Cap and trade reduces emissions, such as those from power plants, by setting a limit on pollution and creating a market. ... It's a system designed to reduce pollution in our atmosphere. The cap on greenhouse gas emissions that drive global warming is a firm limit on pollution. The cap gets stricter over time.
