Ionic solids are insulators. Since ions in solids are tightly bound, they cannot conduct electricity. However, When the solid is dissolved in water, the separated ions can freely move and conduct electricity through the solution. The strong attraction between negative and positive ions causes ionic solids to harden. An ionic bond is formed when non-metal reacts with a metal. Common examples of ionic compounds include sodium chloride and magnesium oxide, or NaCi and MgO.

What body systems remove toxins from the body? What are "toxins," and where do they come from? Are all "toxins" alike? Do toxins
Luda [366]

Answer:

Basically, detoxification means cleansing the blood. This is done by removing impurities from the blood in the liver, where toxins are processed for elimination. The body also eliminates toxins through the kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymphatic system, and skin.

Toxins created by the body and even your emotions. These toxins come from industry, car exhausts, air and water pollution, pesticides, herbicides and radiation. They also are found in your hair care products, soaps, make-up, perfumes and cleaning products.

Obesity is a continually growing trend in countries that follow more Western diets and lifestyles, but what if this spike in weight gain can’t be entirely blamed on sugary or fatty foods and a lack of exercise? Turns out toxins contribute to fat storage and make it more difficult to lose those extra pounds too.

Hope it helps!!!!!!!!!!

Identify the response of the body's homeostatic control systems to large increases in muscle o2 requirements during heavy exerci
Scorpion4ik [409]

The response of the body's homeostatic control systems to large increases in muscle O₂ requirements during heavy exercise is the increase in body's pulmonary ventilation.

Homeostasis is the state of balanced internal system of the body. A homeostatic body does gets affected by the outer environment as it adjusts itself accordingly. The state of homeostasis can be in terms of thermoregulation, blood glucose regulation, osmoregulation, etc.

Pulmonary ventilation is the process of inhalation and exhalation of air. This is done to fulfil the demand of oxygen in the body and also to remove the waste carbon dioxide from the body. Pulmonary ventilation in simple terms is breathing.
