What made the Vietnam War so difficult?
attashe74 [19]
Mostly the fact that we weren't equipped to fight against North Vietnam. Their military was very well trained and equipped. If I remember correctly, we actually withdrew from the war because we couldn't fight off the Northern soldiers.

There was one incident when we were going around NV to get to SV with our navy, and NV's navy attacked our ships. I think that probably contributed because we would've had trouble getting our Navy to SV.

But the first statement was the most difficult part, from what my lessons said at least.

Identify the statements that describe the old south.
Levart [38]

The U.S. States referred to the Old South as those in the Southern United States that were part of the original Thirteen Colonies. The statements that describe the old south are:

  • In 1860, the South produced less than 10 percent of the nation's manufactured goods.

  • Southern railroads tended to be short lines designed to bring cotton to ports rather than integrate the South into a larger national network.

Thia Old South is known to be used to differentiate between the Deep South and Upper South.

It was also used to show the rural, agriculturally-based, slavery based economy and society in the Antebellum South.
