From the novel Night by Elie Wiesel. The question is from part 2; please answer quickly, this is due in a couple hours:
Vikentia [17]
Eliezer from the Night by Elie Wiesel, interrupts the narration to include a section that describes the effect the Holocaust had on his life. He said in his speech "“We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” It means that no matter what, people of conscience should never allow such words or act to stand unchallenged. It must fill us with enough courage to never sit in silence, and that maybe as we work on ourselves, we could learn how to inspire such courage in others.

What expectations does Mr. Brunner have if Percy? Why does Percy think these expectations are unfair?
Sergio039 [100]
As a huge fan of these books, I can help you here... BUT... I won't spoil it for you!
Mr. Brunner had the expectations that Percy Jackson should know the answers about the Greek gods and Latin, even when he didn't. He always looked disappointed when Percy didn't know the answer.
Percy though these expectations were unfair because he thinks that he is just a "stupid kid" and doesn't know anything, and can't be the perfect student. How wrong he is, I won't say.
Hope this helps! Have a great day!

In the above excerpt from the famous speech "Ain't I a Woman?" a social norm of the 1850s gets reflected i.e.

The idea that women should be protected from the harsh realities of life.

In her speech, Sojourner Truth, highlights on the idea that women are equal to the men and so equality of work and pay should be given to them. Her speech was very approachable and convincing to the listeners. She gives her examples to prove that women are nowhere behind men. She has alone faced all the troubles and hardships which her life have given to her. She speaks about the issues of the civil rights which included slavery and women suffrage.
