The ratio here is 5:1 (bus kids to walkers). Because of this, we can assume that there are 6 total parts. 24/6 is 4. Therefore, one part is equal to 4. In the ratio, 5 parts of students take the bus (I know that sounds a bit strange but I hope you still follow) and 5*4 is 20. The remainder is 4 so four children walk and 20 take the bus. Because you want to see how MANY more take the bus, this shows that we must use subtraction. 20-4 is equal to 16 so that should be your answer. Let me know if you need me to clarify anything

The p-value for a two-sided test of the null hypothesis H0: μ = 10 is 0.06. Would a 95% confidence interval for μ include the va
sesenic [268]

Answer:

- Yes. A p-value of 0.06 indicates that the results observed are not statistically significant at the 5% level, so the 95% confidence interval will include 10.

Step-by-step explanation:

A p-value of 0.06 at 0.05 significance means we fail to reject the null hypothesis that H0: μ = 10 since p-value>p-critical.

This also means that the result is not statistically significant at 0.05 significance level.

Thus, 95% confidence interval for μ includes 10.

Suppose an automobile manufacturer designed a radically new lightweight engine and wants to recommend the grade of gasoline that
MissTica

Answer:

4.07

Step-by-step explanation:

The sample size is 12. The number of treatments is 4. Thus, the degrees of freedom associated with the sum of square error is 8 which is sample size minus number of treatments. The degree of freedom is 3 which is number of treatments minus 1. The theoretical F value is determined by entering the F table (pp.723-24) at 3 degrees of freedom for the numerator and 8 degrees of freedom for the denominator for the level of significance given which in this case is 0.05.

write an equation that could be used to find two consecutive even integers whose product is 24. Let x represent the first intege
mariarad [96]
(X)+(X+1)=24

"consecutive" means right after the other, so, if the first one is (X), the second integer must be (X+1). The answer 24 is given so you just have to solve the equation.

2X+1=24
2X=23
X=11.5
