Estimated difference of 7 17/20 - 6 2/5

Mathematics

5 0
Is always easier to subtract or add fractions with the same denominator, so
6 2/5 is the same as 6 8/20
I would suggest turning them both to improper fractions,
(You multiply 6 by the denominator 20 and get 120 then add 8)
6 8/20 = 128/20
and then do the same with 7 17/20 (Mutiply 7 and 20 and then add 17)
7 17/20 = 157/20

157/20 - 128/20 = 29/20 or 1 9/20

padilas [110]

Answer:

The perimeter of the basketball court is 276 feet².

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The basketball court at Johnson Elementary School is the shape of a rectangle.

It is 92 feet long and 46 feet wide.

Now, to find the perimeter of the basketball court.

Length = 92 feet.

Width = 46 feet.

So, to get the perimeter we put formula:

Perimeter=2(length+width)

Perimeter=2(92+46)

Perimeter=2\times 138

Perimeter=276\ feet^2.

Therefore, the perimeter of the basketball court is 276 feet².

zvonat [6]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Answer: Divide Kayak budget by rental rate

Step-by-step Explanation:

As Joshua is renting for himself alone, the two available options would be the Single Kayak and the Single Sea Kayak.

He can determine the number of hours to rent a Kayak for by dividing his Kayak Budget by the rental rate per hour of the 2 options available to him.

Single Kayak

Budget available = $50

Rental rate = $15 per hour

Hours he can rent = 50/15

= 3.33 hours

Single Sea Kayak

Budget available = $50

Rental rate = $18 per hour

Hours he can rent = 50/18

= 2.78 hours
