Some long term impacts of Shakespeare were:

He gave English about 3,000 words.

He wrote about universal themes in realistic and everyday setting.

He explored the Renaissance ideals.

His  plays are vividly studied by scholars to gain the  knowledge of history.

Explanation:

William Shakespeare also considered as England's National Poet was one of the world's greatest dramatist and writer. His date of birth is unknown but according to records, he was baptised on 26th April 1564.

Shakespeare is considered as the most celebrated and read playwright of all time.

He has made a major contribution not only as a poet, playwright but also in English vocabulary. He had a knowledge of seven languages and approx 24,000 words. His knowledge of vocabulary played a major role in developing words which were added in the English dictionary. He had approximately formed 3000 words in English Vocabulary.

The plays that he wrote were on universal themes and depicted a routine of day-to-day life which were missing in his contemporaries work. His work was realistic.
