Numerous conflicts emerged between the Catholics and Protestants, and that resulted in persecution, forced migration, lot of death. The Catholic Church was losing its power in multiple countries, and the Protestants were gaining more power, becoming dominant in those same countries. The tensions in Europe because of the religion led to migration of religious groups to the New World. The reason for migration toward the New World was that the church didn't really had any significant power there, and also there was plenty of space for creating communities, thus leave in peace and without fear.

coldgirl [10]

Answer:

Is false (F)

Explanation:

On May 18, 1917, the Selective Service Act or the Selective Draft Act becomes law:

"All male citizens, or foreign non-enemy male persons who have declared their intention to become citizens" between the ages of 21 and 30, must register for military service.

Although there were conflicts and protests (New York and New Jersey), alleged draft evaders, pejoratively called "idlers," were arrested around the United States.
