So you know the whole line is XZ which is 83.Then you find out it is in two parts so that is XY and YZ which are 11 and 4c. You can make the equation:

11+4c=83
4c=72
c=18

c=18 and YZ=72

Answer:  The required value of the variable c is 18 and that of YZ is 72.

Step-by-step explanation:  Given that Y is in between X and Z, where

XY= 11, YZ=4c and XZ=83.

We are to find the value of the variable c and YZ.

Since the point Y is in between X and Z, so we must have

XY+YZ=XZ\\\\\Rightarrow 11+4c=83\\\\\Rightarrow 4c=83-11\\\\\Rightarrow 4c=72\\\\\Rightarrow c=\dfrac{72}{4}\\\\\Rightarrow c=18.

And,

YZ=4c=4\times 18=72.

Thus, the required value of the variable c is 18 and that of YZ is 72.

yanalaym [24]
Well we know that every 2 eggs requir 1 and 3/4 of flour so the easiest thing to do here (for me at least) is to round the fraction to the nearest whole number which in this case will be 1. Now that that's done we can say every 2 eggs calls for 2 cups of flour. Now all you need to do is multiply 2 by 9 to get 18 then put that in fraction form it'll be 17 and 3/4 cups of flour. I hope this helps!

Find the area of a right triangle with side lengths 12 cm, 35 cm, and 37cm
Maurinko [17]

Answer:

210 cm sq

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a triangle is 1/2bh.

12 cm and 35 cm would be both sides of the triangle, not 37 cm because it is the hypotenuse (largest side).

1/2*12*35=210 cm sq
