Answer:

In psychology class, Alexi claims that women are more empathic than men, but then immediately questions his own conclusion, saying, "hmm, could I be wrong about that?". He is demonstrating the scientific attitude of humility.

Explanation:

A scientific attitude is a series of behavioral dispositions expected to be found in those individuals that wants to perform scientific research. The three main scientific attitudes are curiosity, skepticism and humility. When Alexi questions his own claim in class, he is showing humility as he is humble enough not to get his own ego to play a bigger role than the purpose of researching a specific topic. He admits that there is a probability that what he is claiming to be a fact is in fact wrong, and that attitude of humility is positive for any scientist to have.

This tells us that China was in need of protection, and were willing to take such a huge step for the safety of their empire. We know this is true, as when the wall was built, it was in the middle of the Qin dynasty, and Shi Huangdi wanted to protect China from the Huns. Hope this helped!

andre [41]

Vasco Nunez de Balboa  was the first European to spot the Pacific Ocean. In addition, he helped found the first successful European colony on the American continent.

Balboa was born in Spain in 1475. He left for America in 1500 and settled for a few years on the island of Hispaniola (where Haiti and the Dominican Republic are today) in the Antilles. In 1510, he embarked with a group for a colony already established by the Spanish in present-day Colombia. Upon arrival, he discovered that the colony had been abandoned. Balboa convinced the few remaining inhabitants to go with him to Darién, in present-day Panama. There they created a stable colony.
