Identify the dependent clause: Whenever she's nervous, she bites her nails.

English

The dependent variable is that she bites her nails. Being nervous is an independent variable due to that it doesn't depend on anything said. However, in order for her to bite her nails, she has to be nervous as stated.

The independent clause would be “she’s nervous” because the biting nails part depends on the nervous part, whereas the nervous part doesn’t depend on anything.
I hope this helped! :-)

Hi there. I just answered this, it's a Haiku.

Long explanation short, sonnet has ten syllable, free verse has basically no poetic limitations and usually no rhyme or rhythm, and a Limerick has five lines, where lines 1, 2, and 5 have 5-7 syllables and have the same rhyme scheme and verbal rhythm, and lines 3 and 4 have a different rhyme scheme and verbal rhythm from 1, 2 and 5, and have 5-7 syllables.
